Frequently Asked Questions

What Paperwork do I need to do before my first session?

If you are a new client please visit our Simple Practice ClientPortal to request a consult call or appointment and complete paperwork.

What is the best way to schedule a consult or get started?

You can visit our Simple Practice ClientPortal and schedule a consult call. After a therapist confirms the time, you'll receive a brief form to complete to aid in supporting your call.

Where is your office?

Building.png

Our office is located at 603 W 14th St, Austin, Tx 78701. It's an old green house. Parking is street parking and you can use the parking meter directly in front of our office or you can use the parkatx app.

You'll come in and have a seat in the waiting room area and your therapist will come out and get you at your scheduled time.

What can I expect in the first session?

For a child or teen client, the parents or guardians and therapist will meet for the first session, to go over paperwork, questions, and will discuss how to prepare child/ teen for therapy. When the child/teen attends for their first time, they will come into the therapy room with a parent for the first few minutes. We will go over an age-appropriate summary of what the therapy office/playroom is for and how it works. When your child is comfortable, you will wait in the waiting room for the duration of the session.

For an adult client, you’ll meet with your therapist and take a comfy seat. The first session is usually focused on getting to know each other. You’ll probably share a bit of your history and what you’d like to get out of therapy. The first session is also a time for you to ask any questions you have about how your therapist works, any concerns or feelings you have about beginning therapy, or what to expect out of working with your therapsit.
