She/Her
Hi there! I work with teens and adults (13-30) in brief and long term therapy. I’m particularly skilled at supporting trauma survivors, sensitive teens, and adults having difficulties with their religion/worldview. My style is warm, engaged, and creative. As a bicultural Mexican-American, I strive to create a space where clients of all identities feel empowered. My approach is holistic and integrates cognitive, experiential, and body-based techniques to support your goals for counseling. I work from an attachment and neurobiological lens.
Teens and twenties are full of transitions that can feel confusing, overwhelming, and isolating. New or past trauma, loss, and life stressors can especially impact how you approach change and relate to yourself and others. You may feel unsure of what you want or stuck in a pattern of behavior that has served to protect you but now stifles the growth you desire.
I’ll help ground you in the present as we listen to the messages your thoughts, emotions, sensations, and behaviors are communicating. As trust is built, I’ll follow you into the more tender parts of your story, walking alongside as you confront difficult experiences. With new insight, tools, and self-compassion, you can live a new story–one you choose.
I previously worked as a counselor at LifeWorks and Jewish Family Service. Before moving to Austin for graduate school, I developed volunteer programming for hospice and youth development organizations. I have a Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin, and a dual Bachelors of Arts in English Language & Literature and Psychology from Arizona State University.

A little about me
I enjoy going to comedy shows, binging reality TV, being in nature, and spending quality time with my loved ones. I’m a registered yoga teacher and passionate about using breath and movement to balance the nervous system. Being bicultural helps me see both sides to everything. Except pizza: there’s only one way to see pizza, which is divine!
